PFW: Το καλύτερο φινάλε με fashion show του Louis Vuitton στον Λούβρο

Αυλαία έριξε η εβδομάδα μόδας του Παρισιού την Τρίτη με το πολυαναμενόμενο fashion show του οίκου Louis Vuitton στον Λούβρο.

Την αυλαία της επίδειξης «σήκωσε» μία κουίντα αποκαλύπτοντας ένα Tableau Vivant από 200 τραγουδιστές, ντυμένους με κουστούμια από το 150 αιώνα μέχρι το 1950.

To the strains of Grigny’s suite de tierce, a 200-strong live choir, dressed in mid century fashion from past eras, sang to a fashion audience tired and weary from ten days of #PFW; as well as a month of fashion shows around the globe. At this time of great uncertainty (and where health is paramount and the Covid19 virus is high on everyone's alert), this finale show from @nicolasghesquiere is proof that fashion can truly be an antidote and savior of weary souls. The show was touched with a biker sensibility, spliced with a renaissance spirit. Panelled parkas gave a sporty toughness, while glitz came from liquid glitter tops making it a play of contrasts that Ghesquiere does so well. Smart suitings and pinstripes with a punch of metallics on the feet and across accessories, gave the collection a very postmodernist feel. The romance of this esteemed french house is never lost with delicious dresses. The giant crinoline skirts with ruffles & petticoats came from a bygone era, yet Ghesquiere thoroughly brings it to the now when paired with ankle pixie boots. The oversized bombers, a signature from Ghesquiere, added to the drama of this occasion and gave an edge to the collection which can be summed up in one word – sublime! Puffer εμπριμέ μπουφάν, μπαλαρινέ φούστες, ροκοκό τουαλέτες από την εποχή της Μαρίας Αντουανέττας, φλάπερ φορέματα, μεταξωτά κιμονό, ελισαβετιανά φορέματα όλα παραταγμένα σε μια στατική εικόνα, έμπνευση της Maria Canonero, της οσκαρικής καλλιτέχνη που αφού δημιούργησε κουστούμια για πολλές ταινίες του Stanley Kubrick, δέχθηκε την πρόσκληση του Nicolas Ghesquière.

«Στη μόδα, η έννοια του χρόνου είναι πρωταρχική. Ήθελα διαφορετικές εποχές να έρθουν αντιμέτωπες με μια άλλη, τη δική μας. Όλα αυτά τα “παρελθόντα”, ενσωματωμένα σε μια γκαλερί προσωπικοτήτων με φορέματα εποχής, συγκλίνουν στο παρόν μας. Όλοι μαζί, κοιτάζουμε μια συλλογή που μοιάζει με μια ζωντανή, πολυετή, στυλιστική σύγκρουση – και ό, τι μπορούμε να κάνουμε με τα ρούχα, αναμειγνύοντας και ελευθερώνοντας τα», είπε χαρακτηριστικά ο Ghesquière.

Φυσικά, το Tableau δεν ήταν μία τυχαία επιλογή.

Ο οίκος θα χρηματοδοτήσει το φετινό Met Gala, με θέμα «About Time: Fashion and Duration» όπου οι διάσημοι καλεσμένοι του καλούνται να εμπνευστούν από το πέρασμα του χρόνου.
